The best builder chef in the world?

Lucky me, yesterday Mr.R knocks on my door and says, " Tomorrow you dont cook!"

****confused**** is my gas supply going off?

This morning fresh from the chef himself, a big portion of Vegetarian "Chicken" Curry for tonights dinner.
Along with exciting stories from far and away.

We have just finished dinner now, and it was absolutely fantastic. No need to kill chickens when vegetarian food food can be this good. Im sure that Gordon Ramsay would agree with me here. Especially after seeing his trip to India show.

As if the curry wasn't enough...check this out.....as soon as i finish this chin wag...

I am heading for the Banoffee Pie......

I really have found the best builder chef in the world! Thank you Mr.R.

Bricks and Drains !!!

So now that the foundations are ready, an army of brickies turn up to lay the first row of engineered bricks. This gives us the perfect view of what space we are going to get.  And boy did they work fast!
Today all the drain works have been completed. Window sizes have roughly been fixed, and i have changed my mind (with a little help from Mr.R) from bi-folding doors to a large French door.

Is my builder a magician? He makes the most awesome dessert of Banoffee pie, or a kinda variation of it. Now how many builders do you know that love cooking? Well maybe there are loads, but this very special Mr.R brings food for me!!! Yay! apart from my Mum no one really did that before!

that black pipe is a temporary pipe into new drain/manhole

I tell you one thing. They are moving very swiftly on this project, and i am enjoying every day of it!  Orange pipes mean underground i learnt today.

So tomorrow after the building inspector has been round it will be time to fill the holes, and do some more filling. The house is fairy high. Lots and lots of filling to be done. Cant really walk out there very much, its pretty hole bound, so more pics later.

Still on the quest for the perfect kitchen. bye for now, mums here and we are off to a wedding tomorrow!

Foundations in!

The last few weeks.
The deepest of digging finishes, due to the tree which is in our next door garden, 3.2 meters deep in total.

Its been a while since i wrote here. lots has been going on, theres been some bank holidays, royal wedding and that has slowed work down a little. The sun is still beaming down!

I met my beautiful cousin sister at the weekend, she told me she reads this.
I got very happy and excited. Well done on the promotion J!

The RSJs arrive, placed into position and bolted together. The concrete men arrive and filled in the foundations with a huge pump.
The weather has been so dry, my builder was keen to get this done asap, for fear of them caving in.
